Hong Kong Alumni Return to FNU for Celebrating Its 116th Anniversary

On the morning of November 16, Pan Yuteng, Secretary of the FNU Party Committee, met with Honorary President of the Hong Kong Alumni Association Lu Xiangqian, Honorary President Shi Xiuye, Vice President Lin Jianbin and their entourage, who came back to FNU to celebrate the 116th anniversary of the founding of their alma mater. Chen Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary of the FNU Party Committee and President of the FNU Alumni Association, and people in charge of the Party and Government Office and the United Front Work Department (the Alumni Association) of FNU, attended the meeting.

Pan Yuteng expressed his warm welcome to the delegation of the Hong Kong Alumni Association for their special trip back to FNU. He pointed out that since its establishment, the Hong Kong Alumni Association has consistently adhered to its fine tradition, guided the majority of Hong Kong alumni to love the country, Hong Kong and FNU, and has done a lot of work and played an important role in pooling the strength of FNU alumni, strengthening academic exchanges, enhancing the influence of their alma mater, and assisting in its development. He hoped that the Hong Kong Alumni Association will further absorb fresh strength, expand the association, visit their alma mater often, and offer more wise advice and practical suggestions for further development of their alma mater.

Lu Xiangqian, Shi Xiuye, Lin Jianbin reminisced about and shared their years of studying and living at FNU, expressed their gratitude to their alma mater for nurture and care, and took pride in the new progress and achievements their alma mater has made, and said that the Hong Kong Alumni Association and all the Hong Kong alumni have always cared about their alma mater, and will continue to play their bridging role and adorn their alma mater with practical actions.

During the period, Chen Xiaohong had a cordial talk with the returning Hong Kong alumni at the Alumni House on the Qishan Campus, and expressed her gratitude to the Hong Kong Alumni Association for its long-term care and support for the construction and development of their alma mater. The Hong Kong alumni also visited the Leading Building of the College of Sociology and History and its History Museum, and had a discussion with the party and government leaders and teachers of the College of Foreign Languages.
